warehouse:180 Core Values
Community
At warehouse:180, we emphasize community in several ways. First, all of our large events are specifically designed with time for students to hang out and talk. We intentionally do not fill our time with so much programming that students never get to interact. Our Sunday morning program, Hooked, includes a "community group" time almost every Sunday where students split into groups based on grade and gender and get a chance to develop deeper relationships and really dive into the teaching from that morning. In Fall 2009, we also began our "180 Groups" program, which are another chance for students to go deeper with a smaller group of their peers. 180 Groups meet at various times throughout the week, usually at a leader or student's home. You can learn more about 180 Groups here.
Discipleship
We also recognize that students in our culture receive so many conflicting messages and ideas from the world around them.
At warehouse:180, we are passionate about helping students develop in their faith and giving them opportunities to learn
more about who Jesus is. One way we do this at the high school level is through our SYNC program. This is a discipleship/leadership
program we began in Fall 2009 to help our students grow into the Christian leaders our nation so desperately needs. You can learn
more about SYNC here.
Discipleship is also something that occurs on an individual level between our leaders and students. We encourage our leaders to take time to meet with students one-on-one and really dive into the struggles and joys of life. If a student wants a person to talk to about anything, they need only just ask and one of our leaders will gladly meet with them. The student may even get a free lunch out of the deal!
Mission
Finally, we truly believe that Christians should be the solution to many of the world's problems. As Jesus' half-brother
James stated in the New Testament, "faith without works is dead". While we believe that salvation comes from faith in Jesus
Christ alone, we also our passionately driven to shine light into the darkness around us. We encourage our students to join
us in service projects around our community, and we are always looking for new ways to lead students in serving others.
Mission projects we are currently involved in are:
- Do Something Now campaign
- Boulder homeless feedings on a monthly basis
